The Principality of Rosellia is a small micronation located near Oswego, New York, along the shore of Lake Ontario. Rosellia declared independence from the United States on August 11, 2024. Originally established as a republic in 2022, the nation later reformed into a principality.
The citizens of this tiny country strive to gain international recognition. The nation's colorful flag can be seen flying from the RMS Rosellia as it sails the great lake toward the historic Royal Palace, which stands tall with pride.
Culturally, Rosellia shares many traits with its North American neighbors, just with unique emphasis on inclusivity, neutrality, and expression. In the world of sports, Rosellia claims cornhole as the national sport. Besides that, the nation holds one bronze Micronational Olympic medal in checkers from the Nemean Games 2025.
The Rosellian king and queen may seem like just cute dogs, but the national pride stemming from them goes much deeper. As you can imagine, the monarchy holds no political power. The two shih tzus, named Buddha Monkey and Fern Gully, live in the royal palace and are widely recognized symbols of the state. The king, Buddha, has explored the struggles of advocacy since birth in 2018. The founders worked to gain stability as Buddha followed. Now, since the horrors and fears have subsided, he stands as a representation of true resilience.

Founder and Prime Minister
Ĝasteso had an idea of a true land of unity that could put its focus on egalitarianism rather than division and religious values. Rosellia is her idea brought to life, as she governs in the way she advocates others should.
JESSICA ENWRIGHT
Chief Advisor
Jessica has seen her whole life what corrupt societies offer, so now she takes her stance and represents Rosellia with hope for a brighter future internationally. She now helps organize most international events
ERIC ENWRIGHT
Minister of Internal Affairs
Eric has lived in the Royal Palace his whole life. He understands the borders of Rosellia in and out. He now helps expand infrastructure nationally, with hopes to build the image of Rosellia and help the principality prosper.
FRANCIS ENWRIGHT
Minister of Maritime Affairs
Fran has always had a passion for the lake. Since he has been living in Rosellia since its beginnings, he works with Diane to record all maritime Rosellian history. He runs RMS Rosellia and hopes to make Rosellia remembered.
TERRANCE STOCK
Minister of Peace
Terrance lives abroad, helping spread the word about this new nation. He is one of contributors to founding the principality, and he now works to keep the culture spread and the peace stable.
DIANE ENWRIGHT
National Historian
Diane has seen Rosellia since its early days. She works with Fran to make sure the memories building the immense culture are never erased.
